In Season Programs

Abbey Villa S.C. Premier teams participate in NEP/NEC league play, tournaments and train two to three times per week during the spring and fall. Our Premier teams all train at least once per week during the winter months as well.

During this in season time of the year, AVSC MetroWest offers Minis (players age six and younger) and development training groups (U7 and U8) as well as goalkeeper training.

Early: Minis & Development

We offer two distinct training options for younger players, beginning with our Minis program and following with our Development Training Groups. These programs allow for the beginning of a love for the game in children with a combination of fun activities centered around developing technical ability.

Youth and Teen

Players aged U9 to U19 train at least twice per week and have league play through our Premier teams. Our Premier teams also compete in holiday tournaments, US Club Soccer State Cup and our older (U15+) Premier teams compete in College Showcase tournaments each year as well.

Premier teams in MetroWest are named after teams from Spain and designated as Barcelona, Valencia and Real Madrid.

AVSC Premier teams allow youth players to continue their youth development straight through to high school graduation.

During the season AVSC offers goalkeeper training with our specialist goalkeeping coaches. Players receive technical and reflex training as well as advice and guidance from goalkeeping coaches to take into team training and games.

AVSC offers this in season training to both current players and players outside the Club seeking excellent goalkeeper training.

The Club wide, Advanced Girls Development Program offers weekly field and classroom sessions to further expand upon premier team training for girls playing for AVSC. The program focuses on advanced technical and tactical concepts and expands into off field topics such as nutrition and fitness education and team building sessions.
